Greetings.
In this blog I am going to cover the subjects of Roleplaying, Immersion, Interactive Environment and others important aspects of any good Mass Multiplayer Online Game.
This blog is not going to be exclusively about Shroud of the Avatar.
Over time I've written a lot of posts on the subject of immersive roleplaying, and I decided that it is best to gather them all in one place for everyone to behold.
In our age of mediocrity and abundant mediocre content that lacks creativity it is good to remember all the things that make our games - and especially our MMOs - special.
Finally I understood that the market is ruled not by the creative, but by the rich.
90% of the movies, video games and books are low quality trash. Yet stupid movies somehow make it to the cinemas and gather tens of millions of revenue.
Since the announcement of Richard Garriot's Shroud of the Avatar I've been thinking alot about the things that make a MMO immersive and deep.
